We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as the Production Analyst, specializing in the renewable energy sector with a specific focus on wind, solar, and battery storage projects. In this role you are responsible for analysing and optimizing the production performance of our renewable energy assets. The Production Analyst utilizes data analysis, performance monitoring, and forecasting techniques to maximize energy production, improve operational efficiency, and ensure optimal utilization of renewable energy resources.
What you will do
- Monitor and analyse energy production data from solar /wind farms and battery storage systems.
- Identify performance trends, deviations, and anomalies to evaluate and optimize the production efficiency of renewable energy assets.
- Collaborate with operations team to identify and resolve performance issues affecting renewable energy assets.
- Develop production forecasts and generation profiles for solar, wind, and battery storage assets based on historical data, weather patterns, and system specifications.
- Utilize forecasting models and algorithms to predict energy generation, demand, and capacity utilization to support grid integration and resource planning.
- Collaborate with grid operators and internal engineering team to optimize energy dispatch, scheduling, and market participation based on production forecasts and system capabilities.
- Identify opportunities for production optimization, energy yield improvement, and operational cost reduction in solar, wind, and battery storage assets.
- Conduct data-driven analyses to optimize energy output, minimize curtailment, and maximize the utilization of available renewable energy resources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement performance improvement initiatives and best practices.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on production performance, energy yield, and operational efficiency of renewable energy assets.
- Help prepare and participate in monthly production review meeting with service providers (e.g., Wind Turbine Service provider).
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Data Analytics, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in data analysis, performance monitoring, or production optimization in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar, wind, and battery storage.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools, software, and programming languages commonly used in data analysis
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, system components, and performance metrics.
- Familiarity with production forecasting models, energy market dynamics, and grid integration requirements for renewable energy assets.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in identifying performance trends, deviations, and opportunities for optimization.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and reporting obligations in the renewable energy industry.
- Passion for renewable energy and a commitment to sustainable practices.
