On March 18, Ukraine took emergency measures and imposed quarantine due to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. DTEK Group, as the largest energy company in Ukraine, had to tackle two issues. Firstly, supporting Ukraine in the fight against the spread of coronavirus so to limit the number of people who could contract the virus. While the second concerned ensuring the continuity of production and business processes so that Ukrainians could continue to avail of functions such as power and heating.
To this end, the DTEK Group switched to a special mode of operation. In order to minimize the risks of illness among employees, office workers were transferred to remote work, while employees of enterprises adopted a special mode of work in compliance with occupational safety requirements in quarantine.

There is light in homes, hospitals, shops, and businesses, and credit goes to DTEK. It is important for us to let Ukrainians know that we care about them every day”.
From May 11, Ukraine will begin gradual mitigation of quarantine measures.
