In response to increasing attempts to accuse DTEK of actions aimed at unilaterally changing market conditions, the company states:
Systemic administrative intervention in the market, which began in September 2019, has had a negative impact on the energy industry. Artificial restrictions on electricity producers, manual regulation and interference in the energy market, lack of responsiveness to manipulation that systemically distort market competition, - all this has led to the largest energy crisis in the history of independent Ukraine.
The crisis in the electricity market has destabilized the work of all enterprises in the energy sector of Ukraine without exception.
“The desire to resolve the crisis facing the Ukrainian energy industry is not a struggle for better conditions for individual market players; it is a struggle for the European future of Ukraine, its energy security and independence. The best industry expertise in Ukraine has been collected at DTEK, and the company has always openly shared its vision of ways to solve the systemic problems affecting the industry”, says DTEK CEO Maxim Timchenko.
DTEK has always been the initiator of open dialogue between all market participants to find a way out of the systemic crisis in the industry. All accusations against DTEK are unfounded and are initiated by opponents of Ukraine’s European course and a truly fair market.
