"DTEK's energy supplying companies provide electricity to more than 3.5 mln customers in Kyiv, Dnipro and Donetsk regions. Currently, there are already 24 thousand Ukrainian families using our retail energy efficiency kits Smart WATT, and our fast-charging stations STRUM will charge your electric vehicle for as little as 20 minutes. The task of D.Solutions is to make the quality of the energy services in Ukraine as good as, e.g., that of the banking or mobile operator services. We want to offer new products and create convenient digital services for our customers. It is equally important to help our customers reasonably manage electricity costs and optimise electricity consumption. I am convinced that using his successful experience, Abdullah will be able to change the perception of the energy service companies in Ukraine. As part of the energy market reform, our common objective is to make the 'customer - energy service provider' communication more convenient and fruitful. As of today, D.Solutions has every opportunity to become a leader of market changes in the Ukrainian energy sector," said Maxim Timchenko, DTEK’s CEO.
Before joining DTEK and D.Solutions, Abdullah Koksal has held managerial positions at Enerjisa (Turkey, a venture asset of Sabancı Holding and E.ON serving more than 9 million customers) for more than 9 years. In particular, he managed electricity sourcing and pricing processes, commercial cycle, built a consumer service system, and was in charge of reorganisation as part of unbundling and electricity market reforming. Furthermore, Abdullah has many years of experience in consulting and banking.
In 1999, Abdullah Koksal graduated from the Middle East Technical University majoring in Mechanical Engineering and obtained an MBA from the City University of New York in 2003.
"I am pleased to join the DTEK team, which sets important and significant goals. A considerable improvement in customer services is one of the key tasks for the electricity supply business for the short run. Already this year we will expand the capacity of our call centres’ hot lines, refurbish our customer service centres and introduce electronic services that will make it even more convenient to submit meter readings and pay bills. By the end of 2019, we will launch a new brand, under which we will provide not only electricity supply services, but also other solutions - from installing rooftop solar panels to power storage systems. We will keep investing in energy-efficiency projects in the industrial and public sector implemented under energy service contracts. And already this summer, our fast-charging network STRUM will connect such large cities as Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipro and Lviv,” said Abdullah Koksal, D.Solutions’ General Director.
D.Solutions, an operational holding company, was set up at the beginning of 2019. It manages the energy supplying companies established in the wake of the unbundling: Kyiv Energy Services, Donetsk Energy Services, and Dnipro Energy Services. D.Solutions also runs DTEK ESCO’s energy efficiency business and the fast-charging network STRUM.
