Since the start of russia's full-scale invasion, DTEK's energy workers have restored power supply for more than 3 mln Ukrainian households affected by military hostilities in the Donetsk, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Odesa regions as well as the city of Kyiv, including more than 2 mln in the Donetsk region, almost 600 thousand in the Kyiv region, another 270 thousand in the city of Kyiv, almost 27 thousand in the Odesa region, and 40 thousand in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
In the last week alone, DTEK's energy workers brought the lights back for almost 100 thousand consumers.
Despite the situation being exacerbated by military hostilities in the Donetsk region, DTEK's energy workers repaired networks destroyed by shelling and brought the lights back to more than 96 thousand families in a week. In some settlements, the energy workers because of regular shelling have to repair the network infrastructure destroyed by enemy missiles every day.
Around 20 DTEK maintenance crews work on a daily basis to restore networks after military hostilities.
In addition, the Kryvyi Rih district of the Dnipropetrovsk region remains under regular fire. Specifically, repairmen brought the lights back to more than 2 thousand homes in the last week. In some homes, we had to restore the lights several times a week because of regular shelling.
"Despite the situation being exacerbated by constant shelling, we keep on bringing back the lights to Ukrainians' homes. Thanks to the heroic work by our maintenance crews, all these families are once again able to charge their phones and get in touch with their loved ones, cook dinner or watch the news. Our energy workers continue to courageously do their job and defend Ukraine's energy front",
said Dmytro Sakharuk, DTEK's Executive director.
