Maxim Timchenko, DTEK's CEO, will take part in a large-scale international Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2022) in the Swiss city of Lugano. This two-day representative event will bring together representatives of the Ukrainian public and private sectors as well as their international counterparts from politics and business to outline Ukraine's post-war reconstruction plans.
The conference will include sections addressing recovery of economy, industry, energy sector, and agriculture, social recovery, digitalisation, infrastructure recovery, and environmental recovery.
The following topics will be discussed in Lugano:
The Recovery and Development Plan of Ukraine (within United 24 initiative of President Zelenskyy) and different contributions of international partners for the recovery of Ukraine.
The methods, priorities and principles of recovery.
Social, economic, environmental and infrastructure recovery from damages and losses caused by the war.
Reforms that are possible or necessary to implement in the current situation.
Maxim Timchenko will speak at two panel discussions of the Ukrainian-Swiss Business Hub as part of the Ukraine Recovery Conference.
Specifically, he will take part in the special session "Business contributing to finding solutions for energy, climate and food challenges in Ukraine", organised by the UN Global Compact in Ukraine jointly with the UN Global Compact in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The session will focus on the businesses' response to energy, climate and agricultural challenges faced by Ukraine today that we will need to tackle in the future.
In addition, DTEK's CEO will join the panel discussion "Energy sources and projects for efficiency, safety and independence" organised by the Ukraine-Swiss Business Association and the Swiss Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises.
Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2022) will define Ukraine's recovery pathway at the international level facilitating European stability.
