On November 5, 2021, London Stock Exchange hosted the 7th annual Emerging Europe & Central Asia Conference in London. DTEK Chief Innovation Officer Emanuele Volpe joined the Innovation Champions Roundtable along with international corporate leaders of innovation.

The conference was opened with remarks from Deputy HM Trade Commissioner for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Jane Grady and Group Head of Capital Markets at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) Murray Roos.

“As the world is facing challenges, investors are now under pressure to vote with their capital for sustainable businesses. Technologies and services that support and enable clean energy and environmentally friendly products are becoming increasingly important as we strive for a sustainable and inclusive economic growth,” said Jane Grady during her speech.

The conference was there to provide an update on how the UK and European markets have fared so far in 2021 and the outlook for issuers and investors for the rest of the year and beyond. International capital markets experts, government representatives, CEOs and CFOs of listed and private companies from across Central and Eastern Europe, CIS and Central Asia shared their insights on the emerging trends and growth strategies that are shaping opportunities in these markets.

The Innovation Champions Roundtable that took place within the conference was moderated by Ayuna Nechaeva, Head of Europe, Primary Markets, LSEG. DTEK Chief Innovation Officer Emanuele Volpe joined the panel to share DTEK’s experience of dealing with innovations.

“This is the first time for London Stock Exchange to have a separate panel focused exclusively on innovations at this annual conference. It is a great honour for us to be the only Ukrainian company contributing to this high level event. I was delighted to speak on Open innovation approach that we use as well as on our work within new exponential and disruptive technologies. It is great to witness that innovations become vital element of more and more global economies,” commented Emanuele Volpe.
