The award was given for the courage and resilience of DTEK Renewables employees who built the first stage of the 114 MW wind power plant despite the full-scale war only 100 kilometers from the front line.

"We are extremely grateful for the award from such a respected media. Completing the first stage of Tyligulska WPP was a crucial task for us, despite all the difficulties and wartime conditions. Most of the construction took place during the blackout, fuel crisis, and the heaviest shelling of critical infrastructure by the enemy. Nevertheless, Ukraine needed additional kilowatts of electricity. Therefore, for the entire DTEK Renewables team, it was an obvious and only possible solution - we need to build," said Oleksandr Selyshchev, CEO of DTEK Renewables.

The POWER Awards ceremony was attended by Oleg Solovei, Director of DTEK Tyligulska WPP, and Artem Smirnov, Head of the Capital Construction Department.

"We were honored to receive the award, representing the entire DTEK Renewables team at the gala event held in the US in August. We are touched by the support from our energy colleagues and the warmth with which we were welcomed. At this event, we represented not only DTEK, but also all Ukrainian energy workers who contribute to the victory of our country. We sincerely thank the POWER Magazine for recognizing our work and supporting Ukraine," said Oleg Solovei, Director of DTEK Tyligulska Wind Farm.

After the award was presented to DTEK Tyligulska WPP and Oleg Solovei expressed his gratitude, the audience gave a standing ovation in support of Ukraine.

This year's POWER Awards were presented to the nominees by Miss America 2023 Grace Stanke.
