DTEK, in addition to restoring the destroyed infrastructure, continues to help the Armed Forces

Since the russian full-scale invasion began, DTEK Group has spent UAH 632 mln to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and humanitarian initiatives. The Company keeps buying equipment for the Ukrainian military, such as bulletproof vests, quadcopters, portable two-way radios, vehicles. The Group’s enterprises regularly donate warm clothes, medicines, and meal kits. All aid to Ukrainian defenders is provided within the Rinat Akhmetov Steel Front military initiative.

Since the full-scale invasion was launched, DTEK Group has delivered up to 200 cars of its own fleet to the military and goes on regularly buying and delivering pickup trucks. In close cooperation with the government, DTEK provides lighting devices, generators, and water treatment systems. The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation is involved in delivering aid to the regions. To prevent a humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine, DTEK has distributed food to residents of Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts. Also, since the war started, DTEK Group has been providing free electricity to the military, hospitals, and critical infrastructure in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk Oblasts. Since February 24, DTEK Group companies have supplied free electricity worth above UAH 250 mln to more than 100 critical infrastructure facilities.

“Today, DTEK is entirely focused on restoring the infrastructure destroyed by the enemy so that the power system can resume normal operation asap and inconvenience to consumers can be minimized. This is a key and unconditional priority. Meanwhile, we continue supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine with equipment and tools they need. This aid will go on until Ukraine ultimately wins. This is a clear position of the company and its shareholder Rinat Akhmetov,” — says Maxim Timchenko, DTEK CEO.

Since the war broke out, Rinat Akhmetov’s businesses have channeled a total of more than UAH 3 bn and counting within the “Steel Front” initiative to help Ukraine and Ukrainians.
