On 18 October, russia continued its massive terrorist strikes on Ukraine’s civil and energy infrastructure. In the morning, two energy enterprises of DTEK Energy suffered from projectiles again. In early reports, seven persons have been wounded. They were promptly provided with medical care and taken to hospital with ambulance vehicles.
Unfortunately, one of the wounded persons died of severe wounds while on an ambulance. DTEK Energy’s administration and all the company’s employees express their condolences to the family of our late colleague. The company will provide the relatives with every necessary aid and support. Among other developments, energy equipment sustained large-scale damage. After the strikes are over, employees of the enterprises shall be able to tackle the aftermath and to resume operations.
For security concerns, only the critical employees remain on site of the energy facilities; currently everyone is staying at the bomb shelters locally. All other personnel are working remotely for the time being. DTEK Energy continues doing whatever is possible to sustain the reliable work of Ukrainian energy system under conditions of the aggressor’s terror against the energy sector. The company aligns its actions with NEC Ukrenergo.
