During his conversation with CNBC at Davos 2024, DTEK CEO Maxim Timchenko emphasized that Ukrainian businesses aim to reshape the narrative surrounding their country, steering away from its portrayal as a war zone that discourages potential investments.

«First – Ukraine is in Davos. Ukraine is at the top of the global agenda. Ukraine is very well taken here. We are here to mobilize capital to defend our economy. We need to discover Ukraine for people during this time. We don`t want Ukraine to be seen as a war zone where no investment can come at this moment in time. And we bring our examples. DTEK built a wind farm during the war and invested 200 million euros; we signed a new deal to invest another 450 million euros in the second phase of the wind farm. We develop our project outside of Ukraine. So, it’s the best argument from our side to partners, financial institutions, and energy companies - look at us, come to Ukraine, see what is happening on the ground, and take advantage of first more», explained Maxim Timchenko.
