In 2002, Olena graduated from the National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine with a degree in Business Economics. She has diplomas under joint programs: KMBS (Ukraine) and DTEK Academy - "Energy of Knowledge"; INSEAD (France) and DTEK Academy – "Leader's Energy".

From 2002 to 2009, she worked for Interpipe NTRP, first as the department organization and labour rationing engineer to the head of the remuneration department of the enterprise.

Olena joined DTEK in 2009 as the Head of the Compensation and Benefits Unit in the Personnel Planning Department of the HR Division. In September 2010, she was appointed to be Head of the Personnel Planning Department in DTEK's Human Resources Division. In August 2014, she took the position of Head of Human Resources at DTEK Energy. In April 2020 Olena was appointed as Executive Director at DTEK Energy.

Starting in March 2021, she became DTEK's Head of Human Resources, Social Development and Environment and in 2022, Olena was appointed Head of Sustainable Development.

Since the first day of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Olena has coordinated the evacuation process of DTEK employees and their families.
