DTEK was among Ukraine’s top ten employers, according to a survey carried out by KyivPost and EY. Over 100 CEOs and HR directors of the largest Ukrainian companies were interviewed to compile the results. The surveys showed that the top ten listed companies are concerned with establishing a strong employer brand and giving priority to the professional development of their employees, by providing opportunities for growth and fulfilment in innovation projects.

DTEK’s project “How HR analytics saves human life and health” won at the HR Brand Ukraine Award. The Award promotes advanced HR management methods. HR analytics became one of DTEK’s tools to achieve aspecific global goal: zero accidents while at work. The company has developed a model which enables the forecasting of human safety risks and works out measures to address them.

Academy DTEK won the “Best Corporate University - Corporate Responsibility Gold Award" at the Global CCU Awards in 2019. DTEK won because of our contribution to the qualitative education of employees from state institutions. Today, Academy DTEK is an educational partner for almost 30 state institutions. Their employees are trained under special programmes devised to develop professional and personal competencies.

In 2020, DTEK was named in the top five best employers of Ukraine according to Delo’s Top 100 ranking. And Oleksandr Kucherenko, Director of Sustainable Development at DTEK, topped the list of the best HR directors in Ukraine. The given the Covid-related quarantine restrictions, companies which had invested in their employees and development, as well as corporate intrapreneurship, were said to be in a much better position to come out of the pandemic in a strong position.

As part of EY Ukraine’s annual Best Employer Survey, their experts questioned over 1,000 participants from a range of industries. The survey showed that the key employer selection criteria remain unchanged: the company’s image in the labour market came top (66% of the participants said that this was the most important), followed by salary level (also 66%), personal and professional growth (62%), career path (59%) and corporate culture (55%). DTEK was ranked as one of the best employers of Ukraine.
