DTEK 0th

This anniversary is a moment to reflect on our remarkable journey – from our beginnings as a regional company to our current position as a national leader with international reach. Today, DTEK stands as a pillar of strength for Ukraine, bringing light and warmth to millions across both Ukraine and Europe.
As the largest private investor in Ukraine's energy sector, DTEK has invested over €12 billion since 2005 and employs 55,000 people across our operations. Our diverse enterprises span electricity generation from wind, solar, and thermal power plants; electricity distribution and supply; natural gas and coal extraction; energy resource trading in Ukrainian and international markets; and comprehensive energy services for both residential and commercial customers.
In 2022, DTEK faced significant challenges due to Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Four out of five of the company’s wind power plants ended up in temporarily occupied territories, resulting in losses of UAH 15.84 billion.
Despite these difficulties, DTEK invested UAH 3.9 billion in coal mining enterprises to ensure the stable operation of thermal power plants and support Ukraine's energy sector.
Since russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, it has set out to destroy our energy infrastructure. As the country’s largest private energy company, DTEK’s campaign to repair the damage, and to restore power to Ukrainian cities and homes, is a fight for freedom, peace and progress. A fight against darkness and destruction. We call it the Fight for Light.
