Maxim Timchenko has headed the company since July 2005.
From 2002 to 2005, Mr Timchenko worked as a senior manager at System Capital Management, where he was responsible for SCM’s energy business until it was spun off into DTEK. He began his career as a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1998.
In 1997, he graduated with honours from the Donetsk State Academy of Management with a degree in Production Management. He continued his education at Manchester University and received a BA degree in Economics and Social Sciences with honours.
Maxim Timchenko has been repeatedly recognised as one of the best top managers in Ukraine, and in 2014, he ranked first in the 'Top-100. Ukraine's Best Top Managers' rating published by Ekonomika Communication Hub
