Kiev, 11 March, 2010. – DTEK, Ukraine’s leading fuel and energy company, announces two executive board appointments. Yuriy Ryzhenkov, DTEK’s Chief Financial Officer, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer with immediate effect. Vsevolod Starukhin has been appointed as Finance Director in his place.

Pavlograd, 18 February 2010.- DTEK’s Pavlogradugol, the largest coal mining company in Ukraine, has commissioned a new rock handling scheme at Block # 2 at its Stepnaya mine. DTEK has invested UAH47.8m (approximately USD 6 mln) into its construction. The scheme is an important link in the process for the extraction of coal deposits from the mine field, which contains more than 37m tonnes of coal. Its operation will increase the speed and reduce the energy intensity of the extraction process by 25%.

Donetsk, 02 February 2010. -  DTEK, Ukraine’s leading private fuel and energy company, announces that Service-Invest, its electricity supply entity , has completed the reconstruction of a 35 kV outdoor switchgear unit at its 110-35/6 kV HSKPZ-1 substation. The substation supplies electricity to large enterprises in the Donetsk region of Ukraine (including Silur and Donbass-Liberty) and to such adjacent licence holders as Donetskoblenergo. The modernization, which took eight months, required UAH21.6m (approximately USD 2.7m) of capital expenditure.

Kiev, 15 January 2010. – Service-Invest LLC (DTEK) has completed a reconstruction aimed at switching the 35 kV Vozrozhdenie substation to the voltage class of 110 kV. It is the largest investment project of Service-Invest in 2009 with a total cost of about UAH30m.

Kiev, 28 December, 2009. – Vostokenergo Company (DTEK) has made an agreement with the Ukrainian main lines’ operator, NPC Ukrenergo SE, for the right of access to the cross-border electricity transmission networks of Ukraine for export of electricity to the countries of Europe in 2010.

Kiev, 17 December 2009. – DTEK Vostokenergo, part of DTEK, Ukraine’s leading fuel and energy company, has gained access to 150 MW of network capacity for the cross-border electricity exportation in 2010.
