April 2009 - DTEK ranked second in the Ukrainian socially responsible companies’ rating of ‘Gvardia’ magazine, where the CSR leaders taking active part in social investment projects for three years were presented.
‘DTEK established the basis for a systematic approach to social investments and was the first Ukrainian company among the industrial structures to issue the corporate social responsibility report’, note the rating compilers. When answering the agency’s questions about the possible changes in SCR sphere due to the crisis, Kirill Ermichine, DTEK Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, noted: ‘The companies will have to pay more attention to the quality and efficiency of social investments, rather than to their amount. Money costs more today and all the interested parties now care about the efficient use of funds for social programmes, rather than about the figures alone’. DTEK shared the second line of rating with Kyivstar company. SCM company was recognized the leader in corporate social responsibility sphere. |
