The coal production unit of DTEK is represented by the largest enterprises within the industry – Pavlogradugol which has incorporated 10 mines in Western Donbass, and Komsomolets Donbassa Mine, one of the leading companies of Donetsk region. The high efficiency of the assets operation is proven by their production indicators. The share of the top quality coal produced by the enterprises makes up the fifth of the total coal output in Ukraine.

Due to collaboration between the power business partners incorporated into DTEK, it has become possible to provide the mines with reliable sales market, and the thermal power plants – the structural units of Vostokenergo – with the quality thermal coal supply.

DTEK Company allocates substantial funds for the coal assets modernization, adding up to the improvement of the coal quality, the labour productivity and safety.

The three coal enrichment plants incorporated into DTEK – Mospinskoye CEP, Kurakhovskaya CEP and Pavlogradskaya CEP, one of the leading coal enrichment enterprises in Ukraine, deal with coal processing.

The total volume of coal processed by the coal enrichment plants incorporated into DTEK makes up circa 9 m ton annually.
