Dneproenergo is one of the leading Ukrainian electricity and heat generating companies. Dneproenergo includes Zaporozhskaya, Krivorozhskaya and Pridneprovskaya TPPs.
 
Today Dneproenergo is one of the leaders among the Ukrainian thermal power generating companies. The total installed capacity of TPPs is 8185 MW (16% of the total installed capacity of all Ukrainian TPPs). The company’s share in the total electricity thermal generation of Ukraine in 2008 was 22,3 %.
 
Dneproenergo generates 8.9% of the total electricity generated in Ukraine. The specific consumption of fuel for generation of 1 kWh of electricity is one of the lowest in Ukraine.
 
The main fuel for three thermal power plants is the high-quality thermal coal produced by DTEK and state mines. The share of gas in the fuel structure is about 5.9 %.
 
The company’s headcount is about 9700 persons.
 
DTEK and the State represented by the Energy Company of Ukraine own 47.46% and 59%+1 shares respectively in the authorized fund of Dneproenergo. The rest of shares belong to the minority shareholders.
